Laura Bolmey, MSN-RN
Clinic Manager
Laura Bolmey, MSN-RN is the Clinic Manager at Albemarle Dermatology Associates. Her responsibilities include handling all OSHA and CLIA regulations for the building, training newly hired medical assistants, and managing the clinical setting to ensure that all procedures are done to the highest level of safety and skill. She also serves as a biologics coordinator and drug representative liaison.
In 2013, Laura received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech with a focus on pre-medicine courses and a minor in psychology. She graduated in 2021 with a Master of Science in Nursing at John Hopkins. Laura is currently enrolled at Georgetown University as she works towards her Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing for FNP.
Laura’s favorite part of her job is getting to know all the patients and their stories. According to Laura, “There are few medical fields where you see the patients regularly for years. These recurrent appointments allow me to fully get to know our patients and see how their lives change through the years. From proms to weddings to having their first grandchild, I love all the stories and events we get to share with our patients throughout the years.”
Outside of her profession, when Laura is not studying for school or planning her wedding, she loves to sit on the swing on her back porch and read a good book. She also has three cats who constantly keep her entertained and a Great Pyrenees who loves to go for long walks in the woods. She has a passion for traveling and if given the opportunity, would gladly travel the world, learning about and being submerged in the various cultures.
